Department New Student & Family Programs Responsibilities Designs
and prepares marketing materials for a variety of media platforms
including ads, posters, brochures, postcards, e-cards and
university publications. Adheres to Florida State's branding
standards to maintain a unified and consistent look. Interacts with
staff in the NSFP and FSL Offices and Staff to determine project
requirements and priorities to ensure timely production of
high-quality promotional materials. Coordinate with the office
business manager and procurement resources to prepare digital files
and invoices appropriately for vendors to meet production deadlines
within project budget. Develops content for communications with the
NSFP and FSL stakeholders. This may include departmental
newsletters, mass email communications and news releases. Works
closely with the DSA Marketing and Communications Office to ensure
the departments maintain marketing and communications best
practices and collaborates on projects including brainstorming and
project management. Works with departmental directors and project
team to ensure that high-quality marketing materials are produced
in a timely manner. Reviews, proofs and offers constructive
critiques of the department's marketing and communications assets
when called upon to help create an atmosphere of creative
brainstorming to meet the division's need for a positive, dynamic
visual image. Assists marketing and communications students as
needed by mentoring them on design and writing principles and
technical issues. Ensures that skills are kept current through
on-the-job training, review of professional publications, online
resources and training. Assists with some departmental web updates.
Perform administrative functions to support multimedia design work.
Maintain project files and project tracking in an efficient and
timely manner. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years'
experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of
experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education
and experience equal to six years.) University Information One of
