Position SummaryThe Technician is responsible for the handling, consolidating and processing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials received by the Processing Facilities. The Technician must display a focus on safety and efficiency in a team environment while performing moderately labour intensive and repetitious tasks.With this position you will have the opportunity to earn your EOCP Waste Water Treatment 1 certification.Key AccountabilitiesEnsure waste is processed in a timely and safe mannerAssist with the loading and unloading of trucks and containersEnsure incoming waste conforms with acceptance protocolOperation of processing machinery and equipment as requiredEnsure safe operation and procedures are followed at all timesComplete paperwork properly & ensure it is submittedComplete job hazard risk assessmentsPromote a safety culture with all employeesEnsure superior customer service is providedGeneral shop clean up and maintenanceOther miscellaneous tasks as requiredRequirementsValid Class 5 Driver's LicenseAbility to perform moderately labour intensive and repetitious tasksPhysically fit with the ability to lift +50lbs and stand on cement for extended periods of timeExcellent communication skillsPlanning and organizational skillsAbility to analyze and solve problemsAble to work independently and in a team environment#GFLTalentWe thank you for your interest.
