Job Title: Senior Industry & Business Liaison (Office of Research) Location: Tallahassee, FL Regular/Temporary: Regular Full/Part Time: Full-Time Job ID: 57765 Department seeks to fill the Senior Industry & Business Liaison position. Responsibilities This position creates and manages a portfolio of potential and existing industry partners with an emphasis on creating industry sponsored research partnerships utilizing the unique intellectual property and facilities at FSU, including orchestrating meetings between FSU administrators, research faculty/staff and potential industry partners; and, with support of the licensing managers, conveying the research capacity of FSU including facilities and expertise.Works closely with Deans, Department Chairs, and most importantly with research faculty/staff to match the expertise and facilities at FSU with the needs of industry to create industry sponsored research opportunities; including educating Colleges, Departments, and researchers on interactions with industry including differences in education and industry objectives and how the objectives of industry and education can coincide, as well as managing expectations of both industry partners and FSU researchers and administrative personnel regarding parameters and expectations of industry FSU interactions.Advises Colleges and Departments regarding opportunities for industry relationships and conducting interactions with industry.Promotes industry academic/educational interactions such as student internships and employment opportunities and faculty/staff exchanges with industry. And works with industry and business leaders to advance FSU's research interests. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree and six years of experience in a related advancement services field, such as corporate engagement or intellectual property; or a high school diploma or equivalent and ten years of related experience.
