(https://ryder.com/job-applicant-privacy-policy)_You are the driving force behind our company.Start your career with Ryder today!**Summary**This position will assist the corporate accounting group with quarterly external reporting, monthly reporting to management of operating results, and other special projects***** REMOTE work *******Essential Functions**+ Support the preparation of 10-Q, 10-K, and earnings materials+ Report and analyze operating results and segment balance sheets+ Participate in Workday related projects, including maintaining and creation of reports+ Ensure assigned controls are operating effectively+ Prepare journal entries and account reconciliation during the close process+ Provide support to other departments such as Finance, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Marketing, Environmental and internal and external auditors**Skills and Abilities**+ Strong knowledge of US GAAP+ Working knowledge of SEC Rules+ Demonstrates analytical skills and ability to research guidance and apply to transactions+ Project management skills. Must have the ability to manage multiple projects+ Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization+ Ability to interact with external and internal auditors, management and other within the organization+ Strong verbal and written communication skills+ Ability to work independently and as a member of a team+ Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment+ Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills+ Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices+ Self-motivated to work in a remote environment with less supervision than in-office environment**Qualifications**+ Bachelor's degree required Accounting+ Master's degree preferred Accounting+ Three (3) years or more at a large public company and/or prior public accounting experience ("Big 4" preferred)+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred**Job Category:** AccountingRyder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
