To be considered, applications must be received by: February--26, 2021 TITLE: Director of Career and Technical Education Outreach & Recruitment --POSITION NO.: P07809 --SECTION: Department of Education/Workforce Development --HIRING SALARY: $90,000.00 annually --HOURS: 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday - Friday, may require some evenings and weekends --CONTACT: Human Resources (850) 201-8510 or via email at --hr@tcc.fl.edu -- MAJOR FUNCTION: The Statewide Director of Career and Technical Education (CTE) Outreach & Recruitment is a grant funded position through the Department of Education. The Director will be responsible for providing strategic outreach and communication planning and counsel, management of all facets of Division of Career and Technical Education (DCAE) communication, social media efforts and overseeing the implementation of special population and non-traditional recruitment strategic plan. While a direct report of the Chancellor of DCAE, the Director of CTE Outreach & Recruitment will work closely with and take direction from FDOE's Director of Communications. The position will lead and execute initiatives that are specific to special population and non-traditional recruitment, ensure for compliance with FDOE's communication's office, and serve to provide greater visibility around CTE and the future of work. Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: --

• In collaboration with the Chancellor, Director of Communication for FDOE, and all district and college Chief Outreach Officers, provide leadership in the strategic planning, development, and delivery of DCAE's outreach and recruitment plan for special populations and non-traditional students in CTE. Provide regular reports, data analyses, and evaluation tools to Chancellor and FDOE Director of Communications. Serves as liaison between subject matter experts in Student Affairs and Academic Affairs and technical staff. Facilitate meetings with specific goals, keeping people on track, with the outcome of having concrete next steps, objectives and timelines, deliverables, etc. Perform project coordination during all phases of implementation and in production. Collaborate and consult with other institutions using Workday. --
  • Partners with key industries and educational stakeholders in the development and production of print, electronic, digital, etc. communications related to recruitment, enrollment and the success of special populations and non-traditional students in CTE. Oversee all recruitment and outreach communications for CTE from the Chancellor's Office. In partnership with the Functional Leads and staff of Student Affairs and Academic Affairs and IT Training Group, create and provide end user training, functional documentation and support for Student Affairs and Academic Affairs. Assist in the development of business requirements, system configuration documents, detailed functional specification, test plans, test cases, and implementation documents for Student Affairs and Academic Affairs. --
    • Direct the development of creative communications for engaging projects, applicants, and current students in alignment with FDOE's brand and communication strategies/guidelines.-- --
      • Create organize and schedule communication plans in collaboration with Chancellor's Office, Bureau Chiefs, and FDOE's communication office. Ensure consistent and thoughtful messaging across all audiences - both internal and external and develop strategies with DFC and DPS for recruitment of special populations and non-traditional students in CTE. Write edit and produce internal communications, campaigns, publications, and possible paid media for statewide CTE recruitment/enrollment. --
        • Manage division's communication budget. Stay current with k-12 and higher education trends/developments/issues, related to CTE and workforce development. Assess and evaluate and ensure effective Return on Investment (ROI). -- MINIMUM TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:--Bachelor's degree with 3 years of related experience. The master's degree as well as extensive experience developing comprehensive communication, and outreach flows are preferred. Preference will also be given for demonstrated success in developing and leading recruitment and outreach campaigns/publications, etc. -- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:----Knowledge of the principles and practices of--administering educational programs.--Knowledge of federal and state statutes and rules impacting programs. Knowledge of program--evaluation techniques and research methodologies.--Knowledge of economic and labor market information and the intersection with education.--Ability to analyze and interpret data.--Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.--Ability to prioritize--workload.--Ability to effectively plan, organize and direct program activities. Ability to formulate policies and procedures.--Excellent written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Computer application and other office operation technology skills. Demonstrated outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated success in developing and leading recruitment and outreach campaigns/publications, etc. Preference is given to veterans and spouses who are eligible under the Veterans' Preference Law.
