Job DescriptionPeraton is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to support and lead the unmanned systems initiative. The ideal candidate will be part of a small engineering team that is responsible for all facets of design and development of unmanned systems in our Panama City, FL office. This position provides an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to participate in a wide range of project schematics, including taking on a lead role in initial design and layout development, up to prototype fabrication and testing for unmanned weapons systems. The preferred candidate will provide Senior Electrical Engineering Management leadership, guiding electrical engineering research and analysis on systems design, as well as also directing the development of advanced engineering designs and prototype buildouts for unmanned weapons and weapons control systems. Specific duties include: design and development of hardware and software, integration, rapid prototyping, systems testing and evaluation of Command and Control (C2) systems, as well as testing and evaluation for unmanned vehicles weapons systems related to Mine Warfare, Amphibious Warfare, Naval Surface Warfare (NSW), Diving and Life Support, and Coastal and Underwater Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR). This position is contingent upon contract award. Responsibilities * Lead and manage a highly talented team to design, develop, and test various unmanned systems * Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity, theory and materials * Confirm system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods & testing properties * Design electrical systems by studying customer requirements; researching, testing, and integrating new technology into legacy systems of record * Develop integration processes by designing and modifying electrical equipment and systems for assembling Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) components soliciting observations from operators * Assure product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities IAW capability requirements documents * Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends * Maintain product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations * Maintain product data base by writing computer programs, entering data and configuration control * Complete projects by training and guiding engineers and technicians * Conduct design reviews and information briefings * Manage project scope, budget, resources and schedules * Prepare and deliver development presentations to senior leadership * Provide mentoring to junior engineers and technicians * Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering program * (8-10) years of work experience in Electrical Engineering * Professional Engineer (PE) Certification * You have experience in automated testing * You have experience in Logic Synthesis * You have experience in place and route including floor planning, congestion analysis, flow development * You have Excellent verbal and written communication skill * Active Secret Security Clearance Desired Qualifications * Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering program * (10+) years of experience in Electrical Engineering * Performed Printed Circuit Board design * Implemented encryption algorithms * Implemented chip level software: interrupt handling, chip IO * Designed for low size, weight, and power * Active TS/SCI Clearance * Experience with Unmanned Systems Peraton drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy.
