Job Description:

THOR Solutions is actively seeking a mid-level Electronics Technician to support Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Navigation & Electrical (C4N&E) activities at Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) in Panama City, FL . The ideal candidate will have been completed the Navy Electronic Technician "A" school and possess relevant certifications and experience with in Navy Miniature/Microminiature (2M) electronics repair and/or J-STD-001G electrical and electronics soldering. The candidate's responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) performing or supporting the following actions:

  • Provide production manufacture, product repair, field service, and material handling support.
  • Support the build and repair of equipment including UHF/VHF/HF communication systems.
  • Complete complex technical functions in support of engineers including set up, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic/electromechanical components and systems, experimental design circuitry, and prototype models.
  • Perform repair and maintenance tasks on equipment that is complex, with a variety of complicated components.
  • Utilize government documentation such as engineering drawings, technical manuals, and repair standards to conduct maintenance tasks.
  • Install, overhaul, and test equipment in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Complete Work Orders (WO). Security Clearance Requirements:
    • Must possess an active or interim SECRET security clearance, and maintain it for the duration of employment. Required Education, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Basic Qualifications:
      • Four (4) years of relevant technical experience.
      • Completed Navy Electronic Technician (ET) "A" school (Course Identification Number A-100-0149) or similar military or civilian equivalent technical training.
      • Maintain at least ONE of the following certifications:
        • Miniature/Microminiature (2M) certification in accordance with NAVSEA TE000-AA-MAN-010/2M.
        • IPC J-STD-001G Soldering Electrical and Electronic Assemblies certification.
        • Ability to attend physical installs of equipment in the fleet and complete installations in small cramped spaces, or on top of modules.
        • Proficiency with common productivity software including Microsoft Office.
        • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additional Preferred Qualifications:
          • Technical experience was obtained in a US Navy/DoD environment.
          • Maintain BOTH of the following certifications:
            • Miniature/Microminiature (2M) certification in accordance with NAVSEA TE000-AA-MAN-010/2M.
            • IPC J-STD-001G Soldering Electrical and Electronic Assemblies certification. Typical Physical Activity:
              • Essential functions typically include (but are not limited to): typing, hearing, sitting, standing, talking, and vision.
              • Technician will be required to participate in physical installs of equipment or components in the fleet, including installs in small/cramped spaces or that require climbing on top of vehicle modules.
