Job Description Job Description Job Title: Mech & Robotics Tech Job Description As a Mech & Robotics Technician, you will leverage your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will also have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. In addition to honing your skills, you will mentor junior technicians to help them grow in their roles. Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, and relays. Maintain a positive working relationship across the Amazon Operations facility. Track and store department inventory. Move up to 49 pounds and stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation. Potential travel up to 20% at a minimum. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a large distribution facility with high-speed, automated equipment, mostly with robotic components. Be prepared to walk 10,000 steps per day. All candidates must be open to any 10-hour shift, as positions are available for all shifts. Performance is tracked by data and numbers, but micromanagement is avoided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tallahassee, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.89 - $24.89/hr.
