      THE HIRED CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING This is a highly responsible professional position that serves as the Communications and Public Records liaison for the Reemployment Assistance (RA) Program. The incumbent is expected to assist with development and implementation of strategic communications, including planning, developing coordinating, consulting or assisting in the management of communication materials, media responses, public records requests, legislative bill analysis, and other communication and response to information requests related to the Reemployment Assistance program. The incumbent is expected to work independently by planning, directing and developing communication materials regarding RA issues for news media, targeted publications, staff, stakeholders and the public. Works to ensure communications are effective, timely, and accurate to meet the needs of the RA Program. Prepares presentation materials and programmatic training, marketing, and educational materials. Troubleshoots and coordinates resolution of difficult cases of the RA program. Interacts with claimants, employers, representatives, and stakeholders regarding resolution of difficult RA issues. Uses excellent customer service skills to interact courteously and provide responses to members of the public. Provides technical assistance and consults with RA management regarding RA statewide processes and federal programs and aids in the interpretation of the Florida RA Law and Federal Regulations pertaining to reemployment assistance for the purposes of proactively developing and implementing strategic communications plans, message development, talking points, guidance, and training materials. Must be able to communicate concisely and translate complicated RA topics into plain language using effective, positive interpersonal communications skills. Assists with coordinating bill analysis and tracking proposed legislation, federal law and guidance, and administrative rules that affect the RA program in a timely manner. Performs administrative, research, and coordination functions to review, identify, analyze, and assist with tracking, project management and review of policy and operational issues within the RA Program. Responsible for the coordination, tracking and management of special projects within the RA program; performs special assignments, prepares reports, conducts research, and provides support within the office as assigned by the Chief of RA Operations and Deputy Director of RA. Performs special assignments which are of a highly confidential nature and other related duties as assigned by the Chief of RA Operations and Deputy Director of RA. Performs other related duties as required.
      OTHER REQUIREMENTS THAT MAY BE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION
      • Duties and responsibilities of this position must be performed at the official work site of the Department.

        • Having at least 1 year of experience working in the Reemployment Assistance (RA) program.
