Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team. You will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation for multifamily and commercial construction projects. They are looking for a dynamic leader who loves problem solving, is a self-starter who is motivated by challenges, is a team builder, and who knows how to work with clients. With the support of the office staff, you will direct and coordinate scheduling and activities for multiple projects, valued from $5 million to $50 million. You must be organized, detail oriented, and comfortable with challenges. You need to be well-rounded and have knowledge of construction trades and building codes. You will supervise and work alongside other employees and contractors to successfully complete projects on schedule and within budget. Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership in initial planning stage by collaborating with clients, architects, engineers, and other involved parties; develops detailed descriptions of jobs and materials necessary to complete
  • Schedules and coordinates projects in logical steps and budgets the time necessary to meet each deadline.
  • Prepares and submits budget estimates and regularly communicates with clients concerning budget progress and costs.
  • Ensures adherence to the budget and, when unexpected complications or issues arise, makes quick and necessary adjustments.
  • Plans, coordinates, organizes, oversees, and directs activities regarding the construction and maintenance of assigned structures, facilities, and
  • Ensures safety standards and guidelines are followed on the jobsite and that all safety codes are met during the construction
  • Oversees contract negotiations, revisions, and additions and adherence to contract terms by all
  • Collaborates with clients, supervisory staff, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve problems, including work procedures, complaints, and construction or design
  • Manages and leads action necessary due to delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, managers, designers, supervisors, tradespersons, and craft
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications:
    • Previous experience in construction management or other related fields
    • Proven track record of successfully overseeing ground-up multifamily and commercial projects valued at a minimum of $20 million
    • Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
    • Strong leadership qualities
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Deadline and detail-oriented Experience:
      • Project management: 3 years (Required)
      • Construction Industry: 5+ years (Required) Education:
        • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Bachelor's Degree in Business with 10+ years of experience in the construction industry (Required)
        • Project Management Professional (PMP) (Preferred)
        • Construction Manager Certification by the American Institute of Constructors or Construction Management Association of America (Preferred) Physical Requirements:
          • Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching
          • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
          • Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers
          • Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite Job Requirements:
            • Summarizing project status to project stakeholders
            • Manage project resources across multiple projects or project phases
            • Present project information to project team
            • Communicate project status to project team
            • Facilitating project status meetings and communicating project status to key project stakeholders
            • Resolve project issues and manage project risks
            • Manage project budget and project resource allocation
            • Manage project timelines using accepted project management methodology
            • Serve as project lead on projects with multiple project management staff
            • Meet project objectives while managing project hours
            • Validating project budget against estimated project costs
            • Manage project artifacts for the project
            • Prepare project plans, manage and track project execution activities for project teams
            • Achieve project objectives across the project portfolio
            • Monitor project execution/performance, project reporting and project resource allocations
            • Create project briefs and project schedules
            • Support defined project plans and project goals
            • Updating internal project management system
            • Complete project deliverables in accordance with project plan
            • Lead the project team to ensure project objectives
