CARE is one of Florida's leading substance abuse agencies
providing services to our community for over 50 years and we are
proud to announce that we will be opening a new Men's Residential
Program (Bartell's Wellness Center).
The following position is now open:
PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Responsible for the overall supervision of a 15-bed inpatient
substance abuse treatment facility with patients that are capable
of self-preservation and are ambulatory. Some shift coverage may
occur occasionally due to staff coverage issues. Provides clinical
and administrative supervision to assigned staff. Master's degree
and C.A.P. required. $25+/hour dependent on education and
experience.

SUMMARY: The Program Director is responsible for the orderly
operation of the support functions of the facility, including
maintenance, staffing, client support, supply, and food
services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises 10 to 16 employees in the AWARE component.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the
agency's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include
interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning,
and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and
disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving
problems.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an
individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of
the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Master's degree (M. A.) in social or behavioral sciences plus full
certification plus seven years related experience with one year
being supervisory experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write clinical documentation and information in a
professional manner. Ability to speak effectively before groups of
customers or employees of CARE.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of
concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization
exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Possess valid Florida drivers license. Possess certification as a
Certified Addictions Professional (CAP).
