Job Description:
Channel Director Summary: The Channel Director at Skillable
should have a combination of experience in the following areas:
enterprise sales, business development, strategic partnerships,
contract negotiations, OEM channel sales, reseller models, and
referral partnerships, building creative pricing models, and
working directly with product managers/owners. The ideal candidate
should have a demonstrable track record of success structuring
large, complex software OEM deals, as well as deep experience in
building strategic partnerships to accelerate a direct sales model.
This candidate should also have experience building a team or
channel strategy within large, fast growing technology
organizations, and closing large, complex technical deals. Of
particular importance is industry knowledge in the following areas:
Training & Publishing (learning content providers, marketplaces,
etc.), High Stakes Testing (exam delivery companies, proctoring
organizations, etc.), and Higher Education (experience selling to
higher education institutions). In addition, the ideal Channel
Director candidate would have some working knowledge of the
hands-on lab industry. Required Qualifications 5-10 years'
experience in a senior channel sales or equivalent business
development role Success in sourcing, closing and managing
strategic relationships generating in excess of $500k per year in
revenue Experience with contract negotiations with large,
enterprise software, training and testing organizations Experience
building OEM channel relationships, generating in excess of $500k
per year in revenue Experience designing, implementing and managing
reseller and referral models generating in excess of $500k per year
in revenue Experience working with internal Product owners to
design product solutions that meet a partner's needs Growth
mindset; obsessed with continual, lifelong learning Coachability;
craves feedback for personal and professional improvement Winning
mentality: wakes up every day ready to run through walls to succeed
Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year experience selling virtual
labs solutions Minimum 2 years' experience selling
training/hands-on solutions to SaaS, Software or IT enterprise
organizations Minimum 2 years' experience selling technical
solutions and/or products to L, Talent Development or
Partner/Customer Training buyers RequirementsRequired
