Apply today!The primary purpose of the North Florida Regional Manager is to assist First Commerce in fulfilling our Vision To Be Our Member's Financial Partner for Life. This is achieved through delivering Remarkable Member Service as defined by our Service Standards as well as building and maintaining strong member relationships through identification of member's financial needs and effectively recommending appropriate products and services to meet those needs.Within the designated market, the North Florida Regional Manager will develop sustainable and meaningful relationships with key constituencies and centers of influence with the main goal of increasing market share and access to new members, as well as enhancing the credit union's viability and brand awareness. Leads the development and execution of strategies and direct reports' activities to add new business relationships and to increase membership and service usage within the organizations we serve.*Works with both solid-line and dotted-line supervisors in planning and implementing work and carrying out duties and responsibilities.RESPONSIBILITIES:Market Development

  • Proactively leads the growth, acquisition and ongoing management of partnerships with fully-engaged organizations within the market that fit the credit union's strategic objectives.
  • Establishes and maintains third-party relationships within the market that enable the credit union to increase membership and usage of our products and services.
  • Executes strategies and tactics that will increase membership and service usage within the market we serve.
  • Develops and maintains a wide variety of contacts and serve as a local contact within key constituencies for the purpose of entering into and enhancing mutually-beneficial partnerships.
  • Plans, promotes, and conducts various events including presentations, promotional visits and educational seminars with local organizations and participate in and/or sponsor benefit-related events.
  • Participates in civic organizations, trade shows, community events, professional events, and partner organization events to promote the credit union.
  • In coordination with marketing, manages the correspondence and direct marketing programs to existing and potential partner organizations.
  • Tracks, analyzes, and communicates all business development activities and results.
  • Develops annual business development plan and budget to support organizational market goals.
  • Selects and manages top-talent team members with an emphasis on developing them and providing opportunities for growth.
  • Monitors the performance of direct reports with a focus on results and accountability. Take corrective actions as necessary when objectives are not being attained.
  • Manages projects and assignments as directed by Senior Management.Lending Requirements
    • Generating, receiving, reviewing, and evaluating consumer, and business loan requests.
    • Meets with applicants to explain credit policies and to obtain loan information and documentation.
    • Communicates with borrowers and prospective borrowers promptly and professionally.
    • Provides general information and cross sells services.
    • Assumes responsibility for the effective and professional completion of assigned business and consumer loan functions.
    • Interviews, takes applications, and processes preliminary documentation on business loan requests. Discusses loan alternatives, credit criteria, interest rates, and loan documentation in such a manner as to elicit positive responses from members.
    • Analyzes and evaluates loan requests and prepares written submission for consideration by the Loan Committee.
    • Identifies problems or potential problems with credit information and coordinates with the necessary party to resolve the problems. Assists in review of construction loan advances on commercial properties.
    • Follows-up on all matured loans for both Business and Consumer.
    • Completes lending functions in accordance with established CU policies and legal requirements.
    • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective and professional business relations with members, potential members, and trade professionals.
    • Answers questions and resolves requests. Keeps borrowers informed of loan policies and services that will affect their request. Meets with applicants whose loans are denied and explains reasons and alternatives.
    • Stays informed regarding changes in lending standards and related legal requirements. Leadership Duties:
      • Ensures that the financial center team(s) delivers prompt, accurate, and courteous external and internal service in accordance with our Service Standards.
      • Oversees the quality and speed of department team. Offers and manages clear expectations of service levels.
      • Prepares and/or analyzes relevant special reports for distribution to Management, while maintaining departmental records and files.
      • Works within an approved budget; Develops and implements cost saving measures and conserves organizational resources.
      • Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, development, coaching, counseling, evaluating, and overall leadership management of credit union staff.
      • Sets and achieves challenging goals; Demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles; Measures self against standard of excellence; Takes calculated risks to accomplish goals. Other Responsibilities:
        • Performs job duties in accordance with policies established by the Board of Directors under the rules and regulations set by the National Credit Union Administration, the State of Florida, and any applicable State laws for financial centers located in other States.
        • Complies with Reg E, BSA, OFAC, and CIP requirements such as reporting suspicious or unusual activity to manager.
        • Fully supports in actions and words First Commerce's Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Service Standards.
        • Attends meetings timely and as required; reports to work as scheduled and adheres to First Commerce's dress code.
        • Performs other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS:
          • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills; able to build rapport easily.
          • Ability to think tactically and identify significant success factors.
          • Must be self-directed, efficient, and highly motivated with the flexibility necessary to operate in a growing, team oriented, and fast paced, and high-volume environment. Sharply honed organizational and time management skills.
          • Knowledge of First Commerce Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures a plus.
          • Knowledge of banking operations and regulations a must. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
            • A 4-year college degree, preferably in business administration, finance, or a related area; or minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant job-related experience providing the necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities to successfully perform the job.
            • A minimum of 4+ years of sales experience, preferably in business-to-business sales related to financial services.
            • A strong and existing network is preferred.
            • A general level of knowledge of banking services, investment products, and delivery channels including; online banking, electronic bill payment, mobile banking, etc.
            • Proven track record of Individual sales results and mentoring peers required.
            • Management/Supervisory experience with proven sales results preferred. Americans with Disability SpecificationsThe primary work location for this position is a First Commerce building. Team members may be requested to work in different First Commerce Financial Center locations.
