GENERAL MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY

The general manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated Hurricane Dockside Grills objectives in sales, costs, team member retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Is responsible for the management of Food and Alcohol Costs
• Builds sales and guest counts
• Maximizes sales and profits
• Proactively handles all staff and guest requests or concerns quickly with care and fairness
• Ensures that necessary inventories, orders, sufficient levels of product, small wares, and tools are maintained
• Learns, teaches, and upholds food, beverage and service standards and systems
• Ensures that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving
• Controls cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures
• Ensures that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant's preventative maintenance programs
• Fully understands and complies with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, Team Members and guests
• Develops, plans, and implements restaurant marketing, advertising, and promotional activities and campaigns
• Maintains outstanding restaurant appearance and sanitation EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • High school equivalency required; college coursework preferred
  • Previous supervisory and hospitality industry experience required
  • Possesses excellent math skills
  • Must be able to understand P&L reports
  • Strong computer skills
  • Must know how to manage POS systems
  • Must be ServSafe and Food Handler Certified
