required. Mission of Role/Position Summary Be part of a team of

The Director for Response is responsible for all matters of
response activities and operations, The Director will be guided in
all activities by ACDC's Corporate Values Platform.Tasks, Duties
and Responsibilities
- Oversee the Response Division, to include all response
activities, whether in the field, or supporting any related
projects.
- Maintain a clear understanding of policy developments relevant
to all ACDC response and logistics projects and clients.
- Lead the development of the Division for future growth.
- Lead business development proposal development as needed based
on subject- matter expertise.
- Assist clients with establishing procedures for disaster
response actions such as evacuating an area, opening shelters for
affected populations and implementing other special needs programs
that might be required for public welfare and safety.
- Responsible for ongoing Divisional business development plans,
goals, and relationships.
- Assist all Divisions in direct client support and deliverables,
as needed.
- Attend meetings and conference calls with clients.
- Assist in development of program and client strategies.
- Lead and participate in deployment teams to assist clients in
emergency situations and/or activations.
- Lead and develop response team and all other assigned direct
reports.
- Serve as a project manager on assigned client projects.
- Develop and implement strategies for training, including
ICS/NIMS, along with preparedness for emergency response
capabilities company wide.
- Pursue trainings, credentials, and development
opportunities.
- Complete special projects.
- Participate in the company's Health & Safety Committee for all
matters of OSHA compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities:
- Senior supervisory and leadership skills.
- Advanced/senior level knowledge of the principles, practices,
problems and techniques of emergency management response.
- Strong understanding of the integration and handoff with
Recovery.
- Senior level knowledge and experience of EM standards,
operations, policies and procedures such as NIMS and ICS.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use creative, collaborative, and consultative
approaches to resolving issues.
- High sense of urgency, collaboration, and drive to
achieve.
- Strong ethical leadership abilities.
- Strategic thinking skills and ability to turn strategy into
action.
- Strong computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office 365
or similar platforms.

- Senior-level client engagement and customer service.
- Advanced level logistics and operations experience in an
emergency response capacity. Requirements:Preferred Experience and
Education:
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM).
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in a
managerial capacity that directly correlates to this position.
- Business Development experience preferred. Required Experience
and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in emergency management or related
field.
- Years of experience can substitute for education requirement on
a year for year basis on top of the requirement.
- 8-10+ years' experience in Emergency Management Response and
Logistics.
- 5+ years minimum experience of direct people leadership in a
related position.
- 5+ years minimum experience managing complex Response projects.
Physical Demands:
- May require sitting or standing for hours at a time.
- Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time if
needed.
- Mobility around client sites necessary.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. repetitively throughout the day
and as needed. Work Environment:
- Home Office unless required to attend meetings at a client site
or deployed to a client site.
- Deployment may require work in austere locations and various
weather conditions.
- All ACDC positions are remote work site positions with the home
location agreed upon at time of hire.
