Responsibilities

The RN Procedural and Patient Education Facilitator will assist in coordinating care and assuring the use of evidence-based guidelines in defined patient populations, education and scheduling them for their EP procedure. The EP procedural and patient education facilitator promotes collaboration and communication between the patient, family and care teams - pre-hospital, during hospitalization, and post-discharge. Goals for this position are focused on achieving a positive patient and family experience and on improved clinical outcomes, bridging the office to hospital experience.

Responsibilities and Duties:

* Individualized education of patients and/or families for all procedures for all Electrophysiology physicians to include written instructions and education materials.
* Scheduling of procedures with TMH.
* Placing orders in Powerchart for procedures.
* Managing physician calendars for procedures.
* Working closely with practice RN's to facilitate excellent care for patients.
* Collaborating with EP lab to achieve uniform standard of care for all procedures.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Minimum: Associates Degree in Nursing. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Required Experience:

Minimum: 1-year experience in peri-operative or procedural care nursing in a hospital setting or EP office environment.

Strong patient focus and commitment to continuous process improvement.

Ability to proactively develop & maintain effective working relationships.

BLS and ACLS

Required Certification/License/Registry:

Current license to practice as an RN in Florida
