Job Description PS Companies is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Albany, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days, nights - Employment Type: Travel Position: Med/Surg Float Pool RN – 12-Hour Nights (NOC) Start Date: Biweekly orientation Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend to 8 or 17 weeks) Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week (not guaranteed during orientation week) Shift: 0645-1915 EST or 1845–0715 EST Break: 30 minutes On-call: Not required Float Requirements: - Float to all acute care and cardiac units, or Emergency Center for acute care patients - Mid-shift floats are rare (emergency needs only) - Potential float to North Campus (1.8 miles away) Weekend Requirements: Every other Holiday Requirements: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays Certifications Required (submit with profile): - GA or compact RN license - AHA BLS - AHA NIHSS - AHA ACLS (highly preferred) EMR System: Meditech Expanse - Experience preferred, not required (facility will train) Education: - Associate’s degree required - Bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum Experience: - 2 solid years on a Med/Surg unit (travel experience preferred) - Must have recent experience with: - Sickle Cell patients - PIV Insertion Patient Ratios: 1:6 (both days and nights) Nurse Aides: CNAs 1:8; generally 1:10, occasionally used as sitters Scrub Colors: Caribbean blue or white AUTO OFFER UNIT – no interview required/n/nRadius Rule: 75 miles/n/nTravelers must be flexible with floating and have strong Med/Surg and cardiac experience/n/nOrientation is unpaid for guaranteed hours/n/nFacility provides training for Meditech if needed About PS Companies PS Companies is staffing firm based in West Allis, WI.
