practices. Qualifications Responsibilities TMH Physician Partners
Cardiology Specialists is looking for a Vascular/Vein Clinic
Sonographer: IAC accredited Vascular/vein clinic seeking qualified
sonographer to perform vascular ultrasound. We focus on the lower
extremities and perform mostly venous insufficiency studies and
arterial vascular ultrasounds. Occasionally upper extremity DVT or
arterial ultrasounds are performed. Will train to assist with
sterile procedure prep and scan. RVT preferred but willing to allow
grace period to obtain. No weekends, No call, No Holidays . Venous
reflux studies are performed with the patient in the standing
position. We have assistive devices for augmentation. Details 1.
Perform diagnostic vascular examinations according to IAC
standardized laboratory protocols and methods in operating
ultrasound equipment, and PACS system. 2. Perform diagnostic
vascular examinations, recognizing structures while differentiating
artifacts from appropriate structures while recognizing the
limitations of the equipment and knowledge of anatomy and
physiology. 1. Escorts patients to the exam room. Lifts and
positions patients for the proper view of the appropriate area and
provides adequate immobilization to perform the scan. 2. Labels
recorded images with identifying patient information, date, DOB,
MR, etc. 3. Performs related clerical duties such as necessary
forms, consent. 4. Maintain working knowledge and operative skills
of the Vein Clinics computer systems. 5. Review patient's medical
records to obtain necessary clinical information including patient
history, physician order, as well as previous related images for
comparison, 6. Communicate to patient and family members in a
timely and through manner that enhances the patient's experience
and promotes learning to promote understanding procedures,
symptoms, and support health care outcome. 7. Communicate pertinent
patient information to physicians and appropriate team members
including abnormal findings. 8. Prepare written preliminary
impressions of test performed. 9. Provide emergency care for
patients when indicated. 10. Request work orders for maintenance of
equipment to provide optimal working conditions, as well as PMs.
11. Order/replace supplies as needed, Maintain clean equipment as
well as workspace. 12. Ability to work independently and as a team
member. 13. Comply with all HIPAA requirements. 14. Perform other
special duties as required or assigned to ensure efficient
operations of the department. 15. Work in patient care areas in
which employees are exposed to contagious diseases, infectious
wastes, and bodily fluids
