Job Description Large community healthcare facility looking to
bring on Director Pharmacy! Sign On Bonus plus Full Relocation!
Summary: Develops, enforces, and maintains policies and procedures
that promote cost-effective, appropriate, and safe drug use.
Evaluates operations on an ongoing basis using principles of
continuous process improvement. Develops, implements, checks, and
retools action plans to address variances and improve efficiency.
Supervises pharmacy personnel. Develops job descriptions,
performance standards, and performance goals. Evaluates and
counsels staff on their performance. Prepares work schedules and
monitors workload statistics. Maintains an appropriate staffing
level. Provides for the educational needs of the pharmacy staff.
Acts as a positive role model, mentor, and preceptor. Promotes
individual professional growth. Communicates with staff and
promotes staff ownership in problem-solving and participation in
operational decision-making. Prepares a pharmacy budget annually.
Reviews monthly financial statistics and plans expenditures within
budget guidelines. Monitors and justifies all expenses exceeding
budgeted targets. Ensures preparation and submission of patient
charges and financial reports to administration in accordance with
facility policy. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science or PharmD
degree required. Current license to practice pharmacy in the State
of Florida. 3 years of healthcare pharmacy management experience is
required.
