Soliant Health is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Albany, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Experience: 2 years in Stepdown in an acute care setting is required w/o exception. Unit Notes for Cardiology (Stepdown Unit): Nurse Aides 1 to 10 Ratios 1 to 5 beds 44 beds, 8 semiprivate rooms (16 beds) Notes Obtained by Abarna Certs BLS, ACLS, NIHSS preferred. Unit Cardiology-4A/4BThis is cardiac stepdown. 4A is more cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgery, 4B is for smaller procedures, drips, CHF patients. Charge Nurse Charge Nurse (Clinical Supervisor) Weekend Requirement Every other weekend Scrub Color- Caribbean Blue EMR Meditech Holidays Must be flexible and work as needed holidays and days around holidays Tele Yes, Phillips Nurse's Read Strips? Yes, must read and interpret Drips Cardizem (titrated), amiodarone, dobutamine, dopamine renal dose, lasix, bumex, heparin, primicor, vaprosol Vents BiPap, CPAP only hour of sleep, vapotherm, no full vents, high flow oxygen Hospitalist or Intensivist in house in house 24/7 IV Team PICC team RT 24/7 Yes Pharmacy 24/7 Yes Shifts 645am, 645pm Floating to ICU but would only take stepdown patients unless have ICU experience and this would be noted as ICU ok to float on contract Floor specific orientation 3 shifts Common diagnosis / Types of patients POD 1 CABG, anything cardiovascular surgery including fem pops, arteriogram, CEA. , thoracotomy, vats, EVARS, AAA repairs, arteriograms, carotid endarterectomies, stents, pacemakers, ablations, AICD, CHF, afib w/ RVR, CABG w/ pacer wires, adenosine cardioversions, a lot of chest tubes Additional Notes Prefer able to pull pacer wires, if can't, they will orient to do .
