Job Description Job Description Company Description Free-Standing Emergency Department Registered Nurse (FSED RN) – Tallahassee, FL Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Days, Nights, or Mid Shifts Available Setting: Free-Standing Emergency Department Compensation: Base Pay Range: $27.72 – $39.60/hour (based on experience) Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 – Day Shift $15,000 – Night Shift Relocation Assistance: Available (case-by-case) Job Description Overview A Free-Standing Emergency Department in Tallahassee, Florida is seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses (FSED RNs) to join a high-functioning, patient-focused emergency care team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-acuity emergency care in a streamlined, efficient setting while maintaining strong clinical autonomy and close interdisciplinary collaboration. Responsibilities Perform rapid triage, assessment, and treatment of emergency patients across all age groups Manage care for patients ranging from minor injuries to critical and emergent conditions Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient presentation and acuity Safely prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced emergency environment Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and ancillary departments Provide patient education, discharge instructions, and appropriate follow-up referrals Maintain compliance with emergency care protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Qualifications Required: Active Florida RN license or compact RN license Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department RN experience Critical Care RN experience may be considered Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma BLS certification (required prior to start) Required Within 90 Days of Hire: ACLS PALS Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Preferred: BSN Prior experience in a free-standing or high-volume emergency department Additional Information Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly compensation with experience-based progression Sign-on bonuses for qualifying shifts Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) retirement plan with employer match Paid time off and paid family leave Tuition assistance, student loan support, and certification reimbursement Employee wellness, counseling, and financial planning resources Discount and employee assistance programs Benefit eligibility may vary by employment status and location.
