Job Description Job Description Job Title: Material Handler / Shipping & Receiving Location: Geneva, IL Schedule: Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM CST Position Type: Contract to Hire Position Overview Medix is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support shipping, receiving, and inventory operations in Geneva, IL. This role is ideal for candidates with warehouse or distribution experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and supporting multiple departments as needed. Description of the Position - Top Qualifications for Success Experience in order fulfillment, including picking and packing customer and internal orders. Understanding of UPS and FedEx shipping and receiving standards and procedures. Experience utilizing an ERP or computer system to track incoming and outgoing shipments. Familiarity with Bills of Lading (BOL) and related shipping documentation. Inventory control and tracking experience, including cycle counting and entering data into a computerized system. Willingness and ability to learn forklift operation (forklift use is not a primary focus of the role). Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet in a fast-paced work environment. Flexible, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist other departments as needed. Understanding and adherence to safety procedures within a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Prior experience working in a warehouse or distribution setting.
