Procurement SpecialistThe Procurement Specialist is an entry level indirect spend buyer position that assists with the procurement of goods and services for the enterprise. This position regularly interacts with suppliers and other customers within the finance and procurement organizations.GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:------ Assists in the implementation and communication of company procurement policies and procedures------ Reviews purchase requests for completeness and compliance with company requirements------ Engages with suppliers and analyzes supplier quotations------ Assists in negotiating favorable pricing and terms and conditions------ Creates reports on supplier data and analyzes the information to identify trends and make recommendations ------ Works closely with internal customers on Procurement and administrative activities------ Organizes, maintains and updates purchase orders, information, systems and documentation ------ Works closely with the Accounting Department on invoice reconciliations aligned to the Procure to Pay (P2P) system------ Supports the administrative functions within the procurement team------ Performs onboarding process for suppliers------ Supports procurement team in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned----EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:------ Bachelor---s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Logistics or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience------ One (1) year experience in purchasing a plus------ Coupa experience a plus----GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:------ Excellent written and verbal communication------ Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams------ Ability to work in cross- functional team setting------ Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups------ Ability to understand processes and identify areas of improvement.------ Ability to multi-task and demonstrate organizational details--PHYSICAL/EMOTIONAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:------ For roles located in office or home settings, this job is primarily sedentary and may involve repetitive motions; the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, speak, and hear.------ For roles located in the field, this job is primarily active; the employee is regularly mobile and must be able to utilize transportation (such as driving), sit, use hands and fingers, speak, and hear.------ The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and lift objects (up to 10lbs weight; up to 4 ft. height).------ Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to see things from a close distance and ability to adjust focus------ The work environment utilizes florescent lighting; noise level is moderate.------ The emotional demand of the job may cause undue stress from, but not limited to, moderate/heavy workload.------ Reasonable accommodations will be individually assessed and possibly made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.------ Please be advised this job description is subject to change at any time.
