The following position are now open:
ALPHA SPECIALIST - Full time opportunities for ALPHA Specialist in
Jackson County. This position is responsible for providing
individual and group counseling to at risk children. Responsible
for screening, assessment, treatment planning, service coordination
and documentation. Must be able to work with and communicate
effectively with children and be well organized and at team player.
BA in a Social Science or Education field required. Experience
working with children preferred. $15+ dependent on education and
experience.

SUMMARY : Provides substance abuse prevention services to children
and adolescents in Jackson and Bay Counties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
* Plans (Participation, Intervention, Transition, Aftercare and
Discharge).
* Social History.
* Logs (Activity, Staffing, etc.).
* Notes (Progress, Group).
* Time Sheets.
* Request supervision when needed.
* Develop, review and revise participation/intervention plans using
assessment documentation, presenting problems and according to
CARE's policies and procedures.
* Effectively manages a caseload of 10 - 13 clients.
* Provides direct services (individual, group, family, intervention
and education).
* Assessments.
* Admission documentation.
* Reports (Surveys, Parent's Newsletter, etc.).
* Coordinates Academic tutoring.
* Provides parent meetings.
* Provides referral and case management services as required.
* All other duties as assigned by Program Director.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises no employees in the component.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : To perform this job successfully, an

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in social or behavioral sciences
from an accredited four-year college or university or Full
Certification.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,
professional publications, and procedure manuals. Ability to write
clinical documentation and information in a professional manner. -
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or
employees of organization.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of
concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization
exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Possess valid driver license.
