Job Description:
FDOT Work Program Specialist -The Work Program Specialist will
be responsible for assisting with Florida Department of
Transportation (FDOT) Work Program tasks as assigned by a FDOT
Project Manager. Additional duties include some responsibility for
general ledger and job cost project accounting maintenance as
needed. -Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare reports and documents related to FDOT Work Program
reporting.
- Prepare monthly GL reconciliations and investigate unaccounted
for differences.
- Prepare simple financial statements periodically.
- Meet frequent and periodic reporting deadlines.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with project
managers to identify needs and seek a full range of business
solutions related to project maintenance in our Enterprise Resource
Planning system.
- Assist the external audits of financial statements, as
requested.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting required.
- Experience managing, prioritizing, and meeting multiple
deadlines on an ongoing basis. -
- Demonstrated success navigating and meeting deadlines and
highly organized.
- Effective communication, with strong oral and written
skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively
with employees at all levels inside and outside the department and
corporate organization.Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or CPA candidate -
- Public accounting experience
