ControllerDirect Hire ($130,000/year)Perry, FLJob SummaryWe are seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Controller at our Perry site. This position is responsible for all site general and cost accounting, financial reporting and helping develop business strategies, and metrics tied to those strategies.Working in a U.S. Government contracting environment, this role requires a solid understanding of cost pools and overhead rates, as well as the accounting rules for long term agreements and revenue recognition.The ideal candidate will be comfortable with executive level interaction as well as hands-on manufacturing performance evaluation. As part of the leadership team, the Controller will serve as business advisor to the site General Manager to improve financial performance.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance10+ years of progressive experience in accounting including Cost and General Accounting2+ years of plant level Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environmentPreferred QualificationsMaster's Degree in Accounting, Business, or a closely related fieldExperience with Microsoft Great Plains, D365 and Power BIExperience with Federal Government Contracting including knowledge and application of relevant contracting laws, rules and regulations including FAR, DFAR, CAS & ITARExperience interacting directly with DCMA and/or DCAACertified Public Accountant (CPA)Job DutiesPrepare timely and accurate financial statements, business activity reports and financial position forecasts that are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirementsOversee Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and all period-end close processesDevelop business and financial recommendations to assist leadership with key financial decisions such as pricing decisions, cost reduction actions, and capital expenditure spendingMaintain internal control practices and procedures to provide reliable financial information and guard the assets of the companySteer short and long-term cash forecasts by monitoring cash balances and providing close supervision of accounts receivable and account payable activities to support cashflow expectations and manage working capitalPreparation of annual budgets and forecasts, reviewing budget proposals, and preparing necessary supporting schedules, documentation, and justificationPerform all cost accounting functions, including management and analysis of cost pools, overhead and burden ratesCollaborate with Program Management team on completion of Program EACs (Estimate at Completion)Collect and analyze data to report actual costs of business activity such as raw materials, overhead and labor; investigate, explain, and resolve variances from standard costsAnalyze data related to contribution margin results which includes inventory consumption, utilization of manufacturing processes, and direct labor absorptionProvide support for the financial aspects of the ERP system ensuring rates are current and accurateSupport financial audits with internal and external auditors and implement recommendations for procedural improvementsSupport completion and timely submission of required governmental filingsWork as an integral member of the senior leadership team providing accounting expertise on a proactive basisManage two employeesParticipate in other projects and duties as requestedRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)Financial management knowledge including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cost, internal controls and analysisStrong business acumen with a continuous improvement mindsetAbility to simultaneously lead and manage multiple projectsStrong understanding of Internal Controls, GAAP and IFRSHighly proficient in financial analysis, problem-solving, and decision-makingSkilled in maintenance of cost pools and the development of overhead and burden ratesStrong attention to detail and organizational skills, yet able to see the top level/big pictureStrong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills and a solid working knowledge of ERP systemsExcellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritize workload and dynamically problem solve with minimal direct supervisionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to maintain confidentiality with all business information and activitiesBenefits:HealthDentalVision401K (matching)Performance-based bonus programLive and work in a small Florida town, 20 minutes away from the beach and an hour north of Tallahassee.IND2Telecom Communications Privacy Notice: By submitting for this position you will receive a text message from us and you agree and authorize us to send you text messages; you can reply STOP at any time to opt-out of text messaging from us.Bachelor5-10 years
