DEVELOPER As a Barclays Developer, you will be responsible for technical analysis, development and testing, primarily in Java and Linux, but with opportunities to work in other technologies. -You will play a leading role in a strategic project to deliver a market leading initiative. -You will also be expected to contribute towards ongoing support of the production environment. WHAT WILL YOU BE -DOING? - - - -Liaising with IT business analysts to analyse business requirements and document technical solutions that satisfy the requirements of diverse projects on the Loan IQ application, and work with the Wholesale lending IT technical architect to ensure that design standards are adhered to at all times WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• At least basic understanding of XML and MQ messaging
• Experience of working in banking, or other financial services environment
• Personal attributes essential to performing role including competencies, expertise, knowledge, and experience. -Note: experience requirements must not be in the form of years (minimum or otherwise)
• Ability to work in a matrix managed environment and a proven record of delivery in a collaborative environment SKILLS THAT WILL HELP -YOU IN THE ROLE:
  • Good understanding of Java and PL SQL as there will be opportunities to develop code on Oracle platform
