Job Description:
The Supervisor of Document Processing OR Document Processing
Supervisor oversees the Document Control Unit team for the Florida
State Children's Health Insurance program. This is a hands-on role
and will coach and manage staff productivity as well as work
alongside team members in the process of receiving documents via
email, web uploads and mail. The team also scans/imports documents
into the system and performs quality checks and tracking.
Primary Responsibilities :
Supervise provider document indexing and batch review, including
review of indexing quality and work towards process improvements.
Must ensure timely processing within SLA and contractual
obligations
Supervise claim resolution processing (90 Day Billing Waivers,
Voids, and PAs), including review of claim data entry accuracy by
outside vendor
Supervise clerks in document review and prep, including wet
signature comments, rebuilding ATNs, and processing provider
correspondence
Perform research into state related, provider, CARTS issues and/or
vendor questions or problems
Review, reconcile, and communicate data and decisions across
systems and reporting
Pull client requested files and responsible for staff development
and conducting one- on- one and team meetings
Provide coaching and formal warnings as necessary
Develop and train staff on job systems and functions
Handle quarterly bonus and annual performance appraisals
Responsible for data collection and regular reporting, both
internal and external, includes providing data for 66a and 45a, as
well as producing individual reporting for claim resolution and
processing
Follow established practices and procedures in analyzing situations
or data
Monitor daily operations of a unit or sub-unit
Frequently interact with subordinate employees and functional peer
groups
Receive predetermined work assignments that are subject to a
moderate level of control and review
Direct subordinates to complete assignments using established
guidelines, procedures, and policies
Develop work schedules and assign duties to subordinates to ensure
efficiency
Evaluate job performance and recommend appropriate personnel
action
Discuss job performance concerns with subordinates to identify
causes and issues and works closely with the Human Resources
department on resolving problems
Identify training needs and development opportunities for
subordinates
Ensure compliance with company Wage & Hour policy, including
ensuring non-exempt employees get the rest & meal breaks
Comply with all company required policies, procedures and processes
including but not limited to required training
Provide immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees,
assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, and
maintaining schedules
