Your impact:

  • Plans, reviews, and assigns work of construction field office personnel including Lochner staff, sub-consultants and partners
  • Supervises a team of inspectors responsible for monitoring work quality and performance
  • Reviews project activities with client and contractor's field supervision to resolve disputes and other project issues
  • Read and Interpret complex contract plans and specifications
  • Read and interpret construction contract language
  • Monitor Contractor progress and compare with reviewed Progress Schedule
  • Review/coordinate and prepare responses to project correspondence, RFIs and technical submittals
  • Proactively manage construction changes and claims and work with client to resolve
  • Leads construction meetings with clients and contractors
  • Other duties as assigned Who you are:
    • BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
    • 10+ years of construction management experience on road and bridge infrastructure FLDOT projects is required.
    • Willingness to work weekends, nights, and swing shifts as required on assigned projects
    • Requires progressive work related experience
    • Work requires ability to gather and understand technical data for purposes of generating advanced technical reports
    • Requires advanced knowledge of construction practices and principles
    • Must be able to interpret plans, standards and specifications.
    • Good understanding of construction specifications and plans.
    • Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations.
    • Must have a working knowledge of Word and Excel.
    • Knowledge of FLDOT specification and standards is required.
    • Ability to effectively lead a team of inspectors.
    • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record #LI-VT1

        Work Environment
