To find out more about us, click on the link : http://www.floridajobs.org/ The Work You Will Do: The incumbent of this position assists in the operation and maintenance of the Department's Information Security Program and operational security processes and tools as dictated by Department policy, statute, and compliance requirements. Moreover, this role helps ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to reduce, eliminate, or recover from identified threats and risks to the Department's data and information resources. This position performs technical and non-technical duties relative to the maintenance of organizational information security. Pay: $50,000-$57,000 Annually Your Specific Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), this position: + Monitors and investigates threats to the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Department-owned information. + Works with the Information Security Team, IT teams, business unit staff, and other parties necessary to accomplish the information security goals of the organization. + Assists in automating security-related functions and activities, as needed. + May participate in multiple operational security functions, including, but not limited to: + Anti-malware and Endpoint Security + Vulnerability Management + Data Loss Prevention (DLP) + Enterprise Encryption + Network security + Cloud security + Policy development + Audit and compliance + Participates in technical response operations to Information Security events requiring containment, investigation, remediation, and/or analysis. + May assist in the development and administration of awareness training tools, materials, and processes. + Documents and updates internal procedures. + Shares knowledge and participates in cross-training to improve team functionality. + Performs other duties, as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written, with a wide range of audiences. + Ability to work with minimum supervision. + Ability to work both individually and as part of a team. + Ability to balance multiple priorities and quickly adjust to changing priorities. + Ability to work with cross-functional teams and staff of all levels. Qualifications: As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state and national law enforcement records. Minimum- + Must be available for on-call and overtime as required. + 2+ years of professional experience in information security, information technology, or computer programming, with an emphasis on operational security, system administration, and/or scripting and automation. Industry-specific education/training may be substituted for 1 year of experience. + Experience with any of the following: + Vulnerability management processes and applications; ability to read and prepare reports. + Common networking protocols, architectures, and concepts. + Principles, practices, and techniques of securing computer systems, end users, and data. + Network-based web filtering tools. + Directory services, such as Microsoft Active Directory. + System Configuration Management Tools, such as Microsoft SCCM. + SIEM/log management tools, such as Splunk. + IT Service Management tools, such as ServiceNow. + Endpoint Security tools, such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. Preferred - + Programming and/or scripting language skills, such as C/C++, Java, Python, Perl, JavaScript, Powershell, etc. + Experience with the threat hunting, log analysis, and/or capture-the-flag (CTF) challenges.
